| Is Your Church Growing??? |

We started a bus ministry about 5 weeks ago and had 23 kids on the bus route for VBS last night. During our VBS we had 53 children in attendance on Wed. night and 23 were bus children. We have had a mother of one of the children baptized in Jesus' name and filled with the Holy Ghost. Praise the Lord! Several parents and grandparents of bus children came to VBS to see what was happening. The quick growth of the bus ministry has fueled excitement in our church members, some of whom were negative about growth. The church as a whole has been surprised, and excited, by the growth. Each Saturday, the outreach team which started as two ladies over 50, of whom I am one, visits all the bus children and knocks on new doors. We go to underprivileged trailer parks, where there are many children who don't have much to do. We spend about 3 hours on Saturday morning starting at 10 a.m. We only intend to spend about an hour, but can't quit when we are still meeting new people. We enjoy it very much. We have a 15 passenger van which is not in the best shape and make multiple trips. We believe that after we have had sustained success, our church will invest in a more reliable vehicle. Last night when we went out to pick up children for VBS, the bus broke down. We used our personal vehicles to pick up the children. A mechanic in our church discovered that gas thieves had siphoned the gas out of the tanks. Of course, our old van's gas gauge doesn't work and we knew that we had filled it up a few days before. Now we have a locking gas cap. Door knocking still works today. |

I went with people who are bold and then I just decited that I needed to do this now, and I made my self go do it and thats how I got rid of that fear I had about talking to people. The more I did it, the easier it got. we had street ministry on that week also. I was talking to people like never before, and helping them with their children. I sure had a fun time doing that. I also Prayed with them. Then at night we went to go reach more people agin. When we were heading back to church in the bus something came over me and I thought to my self. Wow these people are realy hurting. |

When I was in Wal-mart store shopping for music cd, this man his wife walked up asked if I know where they can find a good church. Let me tell the Holy Ghost hit me I so happen had my Bible and the 20min Bible Study there in my car. You don't have to be in a suit and tie to show you are a preacher, I was in my jeans and a nice shirt. People can tell by the way we talk, and the way we live day to day.
